There is no need to mention that Structural Engineering is a branch of Engineering. One can relate Structural Engineering with Civil Engineering as the Job Profile defines almost the same meaning. It deals with the designs and structures that defy loads. When it comes to designing and structures it is not just limited to buildings, malls or any other concrete material but also dealing with the machines too. The Structural type of Engineering depends on to use some of the principles of mathematics and physics subject. Well, this may all define what does a Structural Engineering actually means.

Speaking about the Job organization in the Structural Engineering field a Trainee or a Fresher may not find it difficult to cope up or to understand the project of the particular company. The Structural Engineering decides or plans the structure and the actual sketch or plan is then designed by the Architect. The Structural Engineer has a responsibility in many ways. As an Engineer he has the responsibility of checking the material like concrete, brick, metal etc… to use in building up any particular project. Legally and ethically it’s the responsibility of the Structural Engineer for every cause of the project. As soon as the construction starts the Engineer has to engross in checking of the work and if any default found one should also correct and also advice.

There are some distinctive Job activities that a Structural Engineer has to track on. The activities may enlist as given below:

  • A Structural Engineering has to follow, check and research on the basic constructional equipments. The Engineer has to crosscheck the plan on the paperwork as well as on the fieldwork too.
  • The Engineer should take care that each employee should understand the work or the plan of the project who are involved in that particular purpose.
  • The Engineer should make sure that all the equipments which are needed for the project should be there in proper time with good quality and the demanded quantity.
  • The structural Engineer plays an important role in making a strong building, mall or any structure.
  • The structural engineer should clarify all doubts and should take suggestions from the architects for the safer designs.
  • The Engineer should check the ground before making any construction. He should take care that the particular area is not under Earthquake zone.

A Structural Engineer has many duties when he is on his work. In many terms he has to face many things and take appropriate decision on the field. A structural Engineer plays a vital role in building up the construction, a unique master piece. The whole construction includes many things with equal risk. But, then too there are many strong master pieces that these people have created.
