Psychotic disorder is a disease which is directly related to the cerebral representation of the person. This kind of disease has no age limit; anyone can come in its trap. This disorder is very serious as it challenges you mentally. The person starts behaving abnormally, gives strange looks, talks to himself, assumes or believes in those things which are not into existence. The person stops believing in real life and facts.

Psychotic disorders are believed to be in different types, here are some to enlist:

  • Schizophrenia: Schizophrenia is a mental illness. Patient hears the voices which are actually not been in the surroundings. Sometimes, the person is not physically aware or sometimes without any reason he starts reacting to certain things. For instance: The person feels as some insect is walking on his hand and itching him whereas, in reality it is not so. This also leads the individual with disorder in verbal communication, recollecting things and acting emotionally. This type is also known as Hallucinations.
  • Schizoaffective disorder: In this type persons mood always keep on changing and making him disturbed. The main reason for this type can be that the person is undergoing some depression. The person in this type always reacts strange or sometimes even dangerous.
  • Delusional order: In this type the person starts false behaving, including him/her in the situation. The person feels like if somebody is going to affect him/her in some violent situations. Sometimes the person also feels like he/she is the only important person and be treated as a divine.
  • Brief Psychotic disorder: This type of disorder is affected to a person when the individual is suffering from a shock like losing someone special, natural disaster or physical attack.

The Psychotic disorder is found in both the Gender; male as well as female. This disorder mainly appears in the age of 20 or after 30. Even children come under this disorder. Psychiatrists say that the Psychotic disorders are likely to be genetic in families. This kind of Disorder is found in 1% of the population according to the survey.

Symptoms of the Psychotic disorder:

Symptoms may change from time to time as it causes with the mental process. But following are the main symptoms to be highlighted:

  • Confusion in thinking or not coming up to any final decision.
  • Disorganized verbal communication.
  • Weird activities that sometimes may land up to some dangerous activities.
  • Becoming slow in activities, performing as a lazy person.
  • Showing disinterest in work.
  • Unable to express the emotions.
  • Often changing mood.


The time duration to recover this disorder cannot be assumed. It depends on the individual. Some of them show the progress quickly while some may take time more than a month or so. The disorder cannot be cured by root but will surely reduce the symptoms. The Psychiatrists gives the treatment or the medicine dose in very less amount keeping in mind to control the side effects. 

Conclusion

The Psychotic individual will surely look like a common man or somewhat slight difference in its physical appearance, but mentally he will not act as normal person. This kind of disorder can be get in controlled by proper consultation with the Psychiatrists, family and friend support. Have proper follow-up with the treatment. Attending Seminars related to the Psychotic disorders. Various kind of Psychotherapy can also prove useful. Evade intake of drugs or alcohol. Curing the Disease on correct time is the perfect treatment to the disease.
